But basically the last bid must stand for 2 days. So as soon as the bidding stops for that amount of time, then the winner is whoever has the highest offer at that point.
You could say theoretically that the auction could go on forever (For example, if one person ups the bid every 2 days for an indefinite amount of time), but I don't think that's ever happened.
